Mechanical Removals & Installations provides HIAB hire and transport services for commercial, industrial, construction, M&E, infrastructure and plant movement projects across the UK. MRI supports clients who need equipment collected, transported, lifted, loaded, unloaded and delivered safely without having to coordinate separate transport and lifting suppliers. From plant transport and machinery delivery to restricted access sites, project equipment movements, storage-to-site delivery and final positioning support, Mechanical Removals & Installations provides practical HIAB transport solutions for heavy, awkward and valuable loads. Equipment may need to be collected from a supplier, lifted onto the vehicle, transported safely, delivered to a restricted site and unloaded in a controlled location. That is where HIAB transport becomes the practical option. Mechanical Removals & Installations provides HIAB hire and transport services for clients who need reliable loading, transport and unloading support as part of wider project works. MRI can help move plant, machinery, mechanical equipment, project materials and commercial assets where lifting capability is required at collection, delivery or both. This service is especially useful when clients need one contractor to handle the movement from collection through to delivery, rather than juggling separate haulage, lifting and site handling suppliers. What We Can Move With HIAB Transport Mechanical Removals & Installations supports the collection, transport, loading, unloading and delivery of a wide range of commercial, industrial and project equipment. Commercial plant Mechanical plant HVAC equipment Chillers and AHUs Heat pumps and packaged plant Pumps and pump sets Generators Transformers Switchgear Machinery and equipment Tanks and vessels Steelwork and fabricated items Crane mats and site equipment Project materials Industrial equipment Plant room equipment Palletised heavy equipment where suitable Specialist or awkward loads requiring controlled unloading Why Use HIAB Transport Instead of Standard Haulage? Standard haulage can move equipment from one place to another, but it does not always solve the loading and unloading problem. If there is no forklift on site, no crane booked, limited access or a need to place the load carefully, a standard vehicle can quickly become the wrong tool for the job. Mechanical Removals & Installations provides HIAB transport where lifting capability is needed as part of the delivery. MRI can collect, transport and unload equipment without relying on the site having separate lifting equipment ready at exactly the right time. This helps reduce delays, simplify coordination and give clients a more practical route for equipment that needs controlled handling. Key Benefits Transport and lifting support in one service Reduced need for separate loading equipment Practical solution for sites without forklifts or cranes Controlled unloading at delivery point Useful for restricted access locations Better coordination for project equipment movements Suitable for plant, machinery and awkward loads Can be combined with storage, lifting and final positioning Our HIAB Hire & Transport Services Mechanical Removals & Installations can provide HIAB transport as a standalone service or as part of a wider package involving storage, lifting, heavy haulage, machinery movement and final positioning. HIAB Hire Mechanical Removals & Installations provides HIAB hire for commercial and industrial clients who need lifting, loading, unloading and transport capability for project equipment and heavy assets. HIAB Transport Mechanical Removals & Installations can collect, transport and deliver plant, machinery, equipment, materials and project-critical items using suitable HIAB transport arrangements. Lorry Loader Operations Mechanical Removals & Installations supports lorry loader operations where equipment needs to be lifted onto or off the vehicle in a controlled and practical way. Plant and Machinery Delivery Mechanical Removals & Installations can transport plant and machinery to commercial, industrial, construction, M&E and infrastructure sites across the UK. Restricted Access Deliveries Mechanical Removals & Installations supports deliveries to sites where access, loading areas, service yards, road restrictions or unloading locations need proper planning. Storage-to-Site Delivery Mechanical Removals & Installations can combine secure storage with HIAB transport, allowing equipment to be held safely and delivered to site when the programme is ready. HIAB Transport as Part of a Wider Project Package HIAB transport is often one stage of a larger project. Equipment may need to be stored before delivery, transported to site, unloaded, moved internally, lifted again or positioned ready for installation. Mechanical Removals & Installations can combine HIAB hire and transport with secure storage, CPA contract lifting, heavy haulage, machinery movement, mechanical plant replacement support and final positioning. MRI helps clients reduce supplier handovers and keep more of the movement package under one accountable contractor. Project Support Includes Supplier collection Manufacturer delivery coordination Secure storage before site delivery Staged call-off delivery Loading and unloading Site delivery planning HIAB transport and lorry loader operations Internal movement support Final positioning support Plant replacement logistics Machinery relocation support Site waste logistics where required Restricted Access HIAB Deliveries Many project sites are not designed for easy deliveries. Access may be tight, unloading areas may be limited, delivery windows may be restricted and the load may need to be placed carefully to avoid disruption to the wider site. Mechanical Removals & Installations plans HIAB deliveries around the real access conditions. MRI considers the load, vehicle access, unloading radius, ground conditions, obstructions, site rules, traffic management, exclusion areas, delivery timing and surrounding activities before the delivery takes place. Restricted Access Support Includes Tight site access planning Service yard deliveries Commercial building deliveries Construction site deliveries Plant room and loading bay support Equipment unloading in controlled locations Delivery timing coordination Site communication and supervision Storage-to-site staged delivery Route and access review where required Safe HIAB Operations, RAMS & Controlled Deliveries Mechanical Removals & Installations approaches HIAB transport with the same planning-led mindset as wider lifting and movement works. The load, route, access, lifting radius, ground conditions, unloading location and site activities all need to be considered before the operation begins. Where required, Mechanical Removals & Installations can support HIAB operations with RAMS, method statements, safe systems of work, suitable equipment selection, communication arrangements and competent supervision. For lifting activities, MRI considers LOLER-aware lifting operation planning and equipment suitability as part of safe delivery. The aim is to make the collection, transport and unloading process controlled, predictable and properly coordinated with the client and site team. Load weight and dimension checks Collection and delivery access review RAMS and method statements where required Safe systems of work Lorry loader setup considerations Lifting radius and unloading area checks Ground condition considerations Exclusion zones and communication LOLER-aware planning for lifting activities Suitable lifting accessories and equipment Competent operation and site coordination Why Choose Mechanical Removals & Installations for HIAB Hire and Transport? Transport and Lifting in One Service Mechanical Removals & Installations can collect, transport, load and unload equipment without clients needing to arrange separate lifting support. Built for Awkward Project Loads MRI is suited to heavy, awkward and valuable loads that need careful handling, access planning and controlled unloading. CPA contract lifting, Appointed Person lift planning, crane lift plans, RAMS, site surveys and supervised lifting operations across the UK. CPA CONTRACT LIFTING SERVICES UK NATIONWIDE Request a Quote Planned Properly. Managed Correctly. Lifted Safely. Mechanical Removals & Installations provides CPA contract lifting services for commercial, industrial, construction, infrastructure, M&E and data centre projects across the UK. MRI supports clients who need lifting operations planned, managed and controlled by an experienced contractor rather than arranging basic crane hire alone. From early site surveys and Appointed Person lift planning to crane lift plans, RAMS, equipment coordination, supervision and safe delivery, Mechanical Removals & Installations helps clients complete lifting operations with proper planning, clear responsibility and controlled execution. CPA contract lifting services Appointed Person lift planning Crane lift plans and RAMS Site surveys and access planning Complex lifting operations Live environment lifting Plant, machinery and equipment lifts Crane mat hire and load spreading support Lift supervision and site coordination Request a Quote Request A Contract Lift Quote Call Our Team Speak To Our Lifting Team CPA Contract Lifting, Not Just Crane Hire Basic crane hire places more responsibility on the client to plan, manage and supervise the lifting operation. That can be suitable for organisations with the right competence, resources and appointed personnel already in place. CPA contract lifting is different. Under a contract lift arrangement, Mechanical Removals & Installations can provide the planning, lift management, supervision and coordination needed to carry out the lifting operation safely. MRI supports clients who need a competent lifting contractor to take control of the lift rather than simply providing lifting equipment. For many commercial and industrial projects, this is the safer and more practical route. It helps reduce uncertainty, improves coordination and makes sure the lift is approached as a planned operation rather than a last-minute site scramble. Crane Hire May Involve Client-led lift planning Client-appointed competent personnel Client responsibility for planning and supervision Separate coordination of RAMS and site controls Greater pressure on the client to manage lifting risk CPA Contract Lifting Can Include Contractor-led lift planning Appointed Person support Crane lift plans and RAMS Lift supervision and coordination Suitable equipment selection Controlled execution of the lifting operation Proven Where It Matters Most For a recent London data centre project, MRI managed the storage, delivery, lifting and final positioning of 5no buffer vessels measuring approximately 3m diameter x 7m long. The vessels were collected from storage, delivered into a live central London site, crane lifted to Level 9, transferred into the side of the building via a 10t lifting platform, then carefully moved through restricted internal areas before being upended and positioned into their final locations. Due to the extremely tight access and limited working space, MRI carried out a full uprighting trial whilst the vessels were still in storage. Although the drawings, RAMS and lift plans confirmed the methodology, we wanted to physically prove the operation before reaching site. This allowed the team to refine the lifting sequence, confirm clearances, test equipment arrangements and remove uncertainty before the live operation. Sometimes the extra preparation is what makes the difference between a job that works on paper and a job that works safely and efficiently on site. That is the standard MRI aims to deliver on every project. Health & Safety View Our Projects Our Services Request a Quote What Our CPA Contract Lifting Services Include... - Health & Safety | Safety-Led Project Delivery | Mechanical Removals & Installations
Safety-led lifting, movement, transport and project delivery. We plan RAMS, lift methods, supervision and safe systems around real site risks. SAFETY-LED LIFTING, MOVEMENT, TRANSPORT & PROJECT DELIVERY Request a Quote Plan properly. Control the risk. Deliver safely. Mechanical Removals & Installations places health and safety at the centre of every project. MRI supports commercial, industrial, construction, M&E, infrastructure and data centre clients with planned lifting, plant movement, machinery relocation, specialist transport, secure storage, dismantling, fuel tank removal, site waste logistics and final positioning works. Our work often involves heavy equipment, restricted access, live environments, critical infrastructure, tight programmes and high-value assets. That means safety cannot be added at the end. It needs to be built into the way the work is surveyed, planned, communicated, supervised and delivered. Site surveys and early planning RAMS and method statements CPA contract lifting and lift planning Appointed Person support where required LOLER-aware lifting operation planning PUWER-related equipment suitability considerations Safe systems of work Competent supervision and communication Controlled delivery in live and restricted environments Discuss Your Project Safely Request a Quote The Job Begins Before The Project Starts For a recent London data centre project, MRI managed the storage, delivery, lifting and final positioning of 5no buffer vessels measuring approximately 3m diameter x 7m long. Health and Safety Is Built Into the Project, Not Bolted On Later Mechanical Removals & Installations works on projects where poor planning can create serious problems. A missed access issue, unsuitable lifting method, unclear exclusion zone, incorrect equipment choice or weak communication chain can quickly lead to delays, damage or unsafe conditions. MRI approaches safety through planning, preparation and control. Before work begins, Mechanical Removals & Installations considers the equipment, site conditions, access routes, work area, lifting or movement method, personnel, machinery, transport requirements, surrounding activities and foreseeable risks. The aim is simple: make sure the work is understood properly before people, plant and equipment arrive on site. Our Approach to Safe Project Delivery Mechanical Removals & Installations uses a practical, site-led approach to health and safety. The paperwork matters, but it must reflect the real job, the real site and the real risks. Understand the Task Mechanical Removals & Installations starts by understanding what needs to be lifted, moved, transported, stored, removed, dismantled or positioned, including the equipment type, weight, dimensions, condition and final location. Assess the Site MRI reviews access, ground conditions, floor loading, obstructions, work areas, delivery points, lifting locations, surrounding activities and site restrictions before recommending the safest method. Plan the Method Mechanical Removals & Installations plans the equipment, manpower, sequence, documentation, communication arrangements and controls needed to complete the work safely. Control the Work MRI supports work through competent supervision, clear communication, safe systems of work, suitable equipment and practical coordination with client and site teams. Review and Improve Mechanical Removals & Installations aims to learn from completed works, project feedback, near misses, site observations and operational experience to keep improving how work is planned and delivered. RAMS & Project Planning Mechanical Removals & Installations can support works with risk assessments, method statements and practical planning documents that set out how the task will be controlled. These documents are not treated as a tick-box exercise. They need to reflect the actual project, site conditions and method of work. Depending on the scope, Mechanical Removals & Installations can support planning around lifting operations, HIAB deliveries, plant movement, machinery relocation, mechanical plant replacement, controlled dismantling, fuel tank removal, temporary works, site waste logistics and final positioning. Planning Can Include Site surveys and access assessments Risk assessments and method statements Safe systems of work Lift plans and lifting method statements Equipment selection and suitability checks Personnel and supervision planning Delivery and movement sequencing Exclusion zones and working areas Emergency arrangements where required Communication and coordination with site teams LOLER-Aware Lift Planning and Controlled Lifting Operations Lifting operations need to be properly planned, appropriately supervised and carried out safely by competent people using suitable equipment. Mechanical Removals & Installations supports lifting works through planning-led delivery, including CPA contract lifting, Appointed Person support, crane lift plans, RAMS, lifting supervision and communication with site teams where required.
